Security Warning
When loading the SpecheBox, you may be asked if you want to run the SpecheBox application provided by Courtroom Connect from http://www.speche.com.
You must click on the Run button to use the SpecheBox.
Exceptions:
You will not receive the security warning if...
You are using Internet Explorer with the Internet Security Level set to Low.
Java is not installed on your computer (JRE or Plug-in).
Your web browser is not capable of running a Java applet.
Java has been disabled in your web browser.
Security Warning Detail:
Always trust content from this publisher.
Checkbox - By default, this will be checked. If unchecked, you will receive this security prompt every time you use the SpecheBox. If left checked, you will not receive another security warning until an update is made to our digitil signature. Our digital signature is updated one a year.
Run
Button - Clicking on the Run button will give the SpecheBox the permissions it requires to run on your computer.
Cancel
Button - Clicking on the Cancel button will deny the SpecheBox the permissions it requires to run. As a result, you will receive an additional security warning and a general error prompt. You must reload

the SpecheBox display page to receive the security prompt again.

When using older browser or java versions, it may be necessary to close all open browser windows to receive the security warning prompt again, when reloading the SpecheBox.
Why do I need to give the SpecheBox permission to run?
It is requesting a persistent connection to our broadcast server.
It is requesting firewall, proxy server, and connection information from your operating system.
It is requesting firewall, proxy server, and connection information from your browser.
General Information
To view an eScription Event, whether it is a
Product Tour
, an
Internet Deposition
, a captioned
Webcast
, or a
CART
session, your web browser must download and run the SpecheBox text display. Most viewers will receive a
Security Warning
prompt to run, install, or trust the SpecheBox text display provided by Stenograph L.L.C.. You must choose Yes, Run, or Grant when prompted, to allow the SpecheBox to function properly and display the text for your eScription Event. Please view the Topic that applies to your type of eScription Event for additional information and access requirements.
To move a web browser window:
Place your mouse pointer over the title bar at the top of the window.
Hold down your left mouse button with the pointer over the title bar.
Drag the window to a new location by moving your mouse while holding down the left mouse button.
Release the left mouse button.
To resize a web browser window:
Place your mouse pointer over the outer edge of the window.
Your mouse pointer should change to something similar to <-->.
Hold down your left mouse button over the edge of the window.
Resize the window by moving your mouse while holding down the left mouse button.

Product Tours
Product Tours are accessed by clicking one of the Product Tour web page links on left menu of the
Speche Communications home page
.
The Product Tour options are Internet Depositions, Webcast / Broadcast, and Remote CART.
Upon entering a Product Tour you will be informed of the upcoming
Security Warning
.
Upon choosing to continue, the Product Tour page will load.
If you chose the Remote CART Product Tour, you will be asked to enter a name that will be used to identify you in the CART Product Tour Chat Room.
The Product Tour text display will load on the left side of the web page.
You will be prompted with a
Security Warning
run, install, or trust the Product Tour text display provided by Stenograph L.L.C.. You must choose Yes, Run, or Grant to view the text display.
Text will be displayed as it is received from one of our continuously running Product Tour Events.
If you chose the Remote CART Product Tour, a Chat area will open on the right hand side of the web page.

Internet Depositions
Internet Depositions can be accessed in two ways:
By means of a PassCode. If you received a PassCode for an Internet Deposition, please go to
www.speche.com/CRDisplay
and enter the PassCode.
By means of a Quick Entry web page link. If you were sent a web page link to view the Internet Deposition, please click on the link, or copy the link into the address bar of your browser.
The main text display will load in the upper left hand portion of your desktop.
You will be prompted with a
Security Warning
run, install, or trust the Internet Deposition text display provided by Stenograph L.L.C.. You must choose Yes, Run, or Grant to view the text display.
Text will be displayed as it is received from the Court Reporter.
You can modify the text color and background color of the main text display. Depending on the size of your desktop (800x600, 1024x768, etc..) you may be offered options to change the text size and display height.
You can view an up to the second transcript of the entire Internet Deposition.
The Login page will remain open in the background. The page will offer you a button to re-open the Internet Deposition display window(s).
If Cookies are enabled in your web browser, the Internet Deposition will record the following attributes for use the next time you open an Internet Deposition:
The location of the Main display window.
The chosen display height.
The chosen font size.
The chosen text color.
The chosen background color.
The location of each Chat window.
The location of the Event Bar window.

Webcast / Broadcast Events
The method of access to a Webcast / Broadcast Events is determined by the host of that webcast. While some webcasts may be publicly accessible, others may require user registration or authentication.
When loading a webcast / broadcast with live captioning, a caption display will be located on, or will be accessible from the webcast / broadcast display page.
You will be prompted with a
Security Warning
run, install, or trust the caption display provided by Stenograph L.L.C.. You must choose Yes, Run, or Grant to view the captions.
Text will be displayed as it is received from the captioner.
The availability of caption display features such as changing of the font, font size, text color, and background color may or may not be provided at the discretion of the host.
The availability of a live transcript is at the discretion of the host.

CART Events
CART Events are accessed by means of a web page link received from the scheduling organization.
The web page link will open your CART Event listing.
The CART Event Listing will display following:
The name of the scheduling organization
Usage instructions for the CART display
A link to each CART Event

that you can access.

A Private CART Event can only be accessed by the web page link provided specifically for that CART Event.
Choose your CART Event from the list of accessible CART Events.
If Chat is offered with your CART Event, you will be asked to enter a name that will be used to identify you in the Chat Room.
The text display will load on the left side of the web page.
You will be prompted with a
Security Warning
run, install, or trust the CART text display provided by Stenograph L.L.C.. You must choose Yes, Run, or Grant to view the text display.
Text will be displayed as it is received from the CART writer.
If Chat is offered with your CART Event, a Chat area will open on the right hand side of the display page.
You can modify the font, font size, text color, and background color in the main text display.
You can customize the CART Display to fit your desktop and your preferences.
if Chat is offered with your CART Event, you will have options to change the layout of display page, and the allocated size of the Chat area.
Depending on the size of your desktop (800x600, 1024x768, etc..) you may be offered options to change the window size.
You can view an up to the second transcript of all text received by the text display.
