When I click on a link, nothing happens. What should I do?
A:
There are a few possible reasons for this behavior.
Pop-Up blocker:
If you are running software that will block pop-ups, it may prevent the web page from opening a new web browser window. Many pop-up blockers offer ways to disable the blocking for a specific web page or link, such as holding the Ctrl key when clicking on a link. Please read the help or instructions that came with your pop-up blocker to learn how disable it for a given link. Please note that it may be necessary to completely disable the pop-up blocker while using our web site, if no alternative can be found.
Javascript:
JavaScript must be enabled in your web browser.

Q:
I copied or clicked on a web page link from an e-mail, and instead of the SpecheBox I see a box with the message: "This event is currently not active. Please try again later by refreshing or reloading your browser. Contact this event's host with further questions.". What should I do?
A:
This can result from a common flaw in many e-mail clients. When a web page link* is longer than the area it is displayed in, the e-mail client may split the link into multiple lines, with only the first line highlighted as a link. The remaining portion of the original link will appear as normal text at the beginning of the next line. Please verify that the link that you clicked on, or copied was not split into multiple lines by your e-mail client.
Example:
Original link sent in e-mail:
http://www.speche.com/Event.aspx?Org=123456789
Result in your e-mail client:
http://www.speche.com/Event.aspx?Org=1234
56789
If the link was split into multiple lines, simply copy (Ctrl+c) the remaining portion of the link (the second line) and paste (Ctrl+v) it at the end of the URL in your web browsers Address bar.
* If the web page link and the
matching
URL in your web browser appear to be appropriate, please see
